Two Red Bulls and Vodka
What you might need before heading out to the late-night party every Friday and Saturday night at The Film Lounge is a coffee- or more appropriately, two Red Bulls and vodka. This aptly named after-hours club resembles a film set- the visual impact is significant, and the apparent intention of imitating LA style nightclubs is fully realized. The Film Lounge caters to Toronto’s upwardly mobile club crowd- the DJs spin tribal and house, and the beats don’t stop until 7 am- both hallmarks of a place meant for those people who are really, really into going all out for a good time. The club boasts some of Toronto’s best-known house DJs and a state-of-the-art sound system.

Plush leather chairs await Film Lounge patrons who need a breather from getting down on the sleek black dance floor.
Hyper-Trendy
Super trendy elements are this club’s bread and butter. Pictures of partygoers plaster the walls and are updated every two weeks- it’s a whole other level of “see and be seen.” Following the lead of underground New York Clubs, The Film Lounge is intentionally hidden away on Dundas Street, among Chinese kitsch stores and produce markets. However, if you arrive, after 1 am or so, the inevitable lineup is a dead giveaway. Dress to impress and wrangle yourself a spot on the guest-list to avoid any hair-distressing line-ups. Away from the packed Entertainment District, this ambient club is a perfect place to dance the night away.
